Would 14awg speaker cable good enough for 50ft rear surround speakers? Thanks

I remember seeing a chart with gauge recommendation for certain lenghts. Anyone has that?

    Thanks,
I also found it in another thread.

FWIW: I found a source for ultra cheap (but nice) Belden 14AWG twisted pair speaker cables for $.10/ft. Yes, that's right, 10 penies per foot cut to any length.
    Here's the link: Link
They also have other nicer cables for cheap. This is where I buy my Belden 1694A coax and Canare RCA Plugs.

For a fity footer thats fine. Get something with good shielding though. If it's a twisted pair, is it in a tube? For .10/ft it may not be, make sure you research the products u buy before u look for the best deal.

It's in a tube. It's actually the same model as the ones Blue-Jeans cables are selling except this one is 14awg instead of 12awg BJ are selling. There is a 12awg shielded version for $.21/ft. Maybe I"ll just get that instead.

Actually, it’s in a jacket that makes it rated for in-wall applications – which is probably what you want for rear speakers.

Also, speaker signals are high-level; they don’t need to be shielded.
