Speaker Binding posts

    How do I know the size of my receiver's speaker binding posts? How would I go about measuring it? Anyone know the size of the 49tx's speaker binding posts?

    If I understand your question, you want to know the diameter of the threaded part of the binding post?

    Here are two methods I can think of:

    1. Use a caliper, which is an instrument that measures small distances very accurately. What, no caliper in your junk drawer? Then read on...

    2. Carefully wrap a piece of paper one revolution tightly around the post in a slight spiral so you can draw a line and then unwrap the paper to measure the circumference of the post, which is the space between the lines on the paper. Use the formula D = C / 3.14159, where D is the desired diameter and C is the circumference you measured.
