Hi,

I am about to start a home theatre build and my current surround speakers are much too deep for home theatre columns. 175mm x347mm x286mm. Well, I could build the columns out but would like to save some room.

Looking for something a little thinner.

Specs for my current speakers.
Impedance (Ohm) = 4-8
Power* (W) long / short term = 100 - 140w

Will be running off a Denon AV.

THoughts on the type of speaker anyone?

Mount them ON the columns not in them.
I am completely with Sam on that. The speakers you are currently using sound like cheap built-ins that are intended for atmospheric music, not anything you want done well. Either use on-wall speakers, which should be easy to do, or attach a small shelf to the column and use regular bookshelf speakers.
