Spare speakers as atmos (1 Viewer)

Hi,

I have two spare speakers from my old system which I want to use as atmos speakers. Problem with room is i have false ceiling and AC, so either I can put both speakers at around 6.5 feet so that they are equal distance from sitting area or put both of them near (4-5 feet apart) at a height of 7.5-8 feet. my front left and right speakers are around 9 feet apart.

Option 1 :

Height = 6.5 feet
equal distance from sitting area

Option 2:

Height = 7.5 feet / 8 feet
in center of listening area and very near to each other

please recommend what shall i do. After finalizing position i will mount these with 25-30 degree tilt.

It’s a little hard to figure out what we’re looking at with the angle offered in those pics.

as for using extra speakers for Atmos I can’t answer that.
Seems like it should be okay but I’m not an expert.
