Ah, another big, puffy, shelf-hogging VHS gets replaced this fall.

The movie gets a bad rap; my only real problem with it was my preference for the Chuck Jones Daffy over the woo-hoo variety.

At last, this film get's what it's deserved. Warner released this twice already , and both versions were in pan & scam.

    Anybody know a release date?

I'm interested only if there's an in-depth study of Lola Bunny. In fact, forget the movie - just include the bits about Lola, please. [IMG]

I personally detest the movie, but I'm very glad they're kicking one more movie off their P&S-only list. WB has the other Vacation movies pending widescreen reissues (with Vacation getting an SE) plus A Christmas Story. Then, the possibility of Chariots of Fire in 2004. (Then, we'll only have to wait for widescreen issues of Wrongfully Accused and Free Willy 3)

If the 2-disc edition appears at my local video store, I might rent it just to see how it looks in widescreen. (I might hate it less!)

Right on, Dave, two great threads concerning two DVDs I've held off on. Christmas Vacation and Space Jam in the same month. I never thought I'd be able to own Space Jam since it was fullscreen...wait I minute I know why they're releasing this! It's a tie-in to 'Looney Tunes: Back in Action' releasing in November. Still glad they announced this though.

Naturally, the widescreen R3 disc I ordered arrived last Saturday. Not a big deal though as I have no intention of buying this again no matter how many extras are on the SE.

The R3 has a beautiful 16X9 enhanced transfer, the trailer, and a fantastic 5.1 soundtrack. I don't need anything more.

For everyone else who waited though, I'm very happy WB has rewarded their patience.

Now, if WB could just re-do the Pokemon movies in widescreen, I would be one happy fella. Unlikely, though. [IMG]

I'm very happy to hear the news. Now if only they re-released Grumpy Old Men and Grumpier Old Men in OAR...

    This is Super!!

I had been holding off on this title due to the OAR issue, but in just the past few weeks I had started to weaken due to my daughter's incessant nagging regarding this movie. (She has it on VHS, but she's just about worn it out!)

Now, I'll be happy to tell her that we'll be getting this at the end of October.

(Geez ... At the rate the "must haves" are starting to pile up for October and November we all better have some shekels stashed away! I already have about 14 titles on my list for those months and that's not even counting the Summer Movies that are rumored to be released during that period as well! Oh ... And I'm only counting Indy as one title!!)

How about this? I really have no plan to buy Space Jam but this is truely been a great week for WB. Of course the original Vacation a while back but now Christmas Vacation and Space Jam soon to be special editions in OAR. I honestly never thought I would see the day. But with that being said this SHOULD set the stage for the only other WB title that needs to be re-released this way. Yes it is time for an Ace Ventura Pet Detective Special Edition. Warner I swear if this thing gets announced soon you can plan on getting most of my Fall DVD money. What a great couple of days for us OAR people [IMG]

Regarding the release of Space Jam and Christmas Vacation in widescreen- Only one thing I can say...IT'S ABOUT TIME!

Another vote here for Ace Ventura Pet Detective in widescreen...I've been waiting a VERY long time for that one as well.
