Southeastern HTF meet. (1 Viewer)

I'm thinking that we down here in the southeastern states need to get together, burn meat, watch movies, hang out, watch movies, chat, watch...you get the idea. I'm in Birmingham, Al myself, who all is around here? Everyone want to get together? I'm willing to open my house up, (sorry, not a great HT setup, but hey, I'm working on it) for a couple of days, got a spare bedroom, lots of hotels around for those not wanting to sleep on floors/couches. I think it would be a great chance for us all to get to know each other a bit more. (Especially after reading the reviews of Scooterpalooza). So chime in guys, who's up for it? Who knows, I'm not promising anything, but I've got an in with a couple of people at the Alabama Theatre(done some photo/promo work for them in the past), and we might be able to get something going there. Let me know.

Sounds like a great Idea to me. I don't happen to know anyone here in Jackson, MS interested in HT. I know there a few around, but I haven't actually met any of them. Maybe with this thread we can get something going down here in the south.

I'm in Memphis, TN. In the neck of the woods, so-to-speak.
Me and the wife might be interested, but we'd have to dance around work. But a bigger obstacle will be our 3-year old. He'd frankly just be in the way (he can't even go to a theatre without freaking out), and we'd have to work hard to find someone to watch him if we went out-of-town alone.
I'll keep an eye on how this comes together; if we can find a way to do it; we'd love to. I'm just not too optimistic, but if we can work it out it sounds like fun!
