The street date and SRP info can now be found at this page.
This confirms the leaked street date posted previously. SRP is reasonable for this amount of material, IMHO.
That's all the info I got for you so far...not even cover art yet. [IMG] But I will keep you guys posted, as usual.

Looking forward to this. I sold the Rhino releases of season 1 & 2 a good while ago now, I didn't think they were worth keeping since no further season sets ever came along. I really hoped to have them all, but alas, Warner gave us themed rubbish instead and subsequently got no money from me in that arena.

Hopefully Warner will put these season sets out at a steady pace. So glad I resisted the R2 sets, the prices of which are insaine copared to what I will find the R1 set for. Good stuff! Beefcake, BEEFCAAAKE!

I get this set as soon as I recoup my losses from the FOTR set!

I really hope these are new transfers, because I forgot (I watched 2 episodes last night) how the first couple of discs have 'pops' on the audio track. It will be cool to hear those commentaries!

Hmm... forgive what could be the dumbest question of the day, but what's FotR? Fellowship of the Ring? As in the multi-disc DC one?

    Rob: Yes

They're selling the set at the same price that the Rhino 3packs were. Hopefully packed with extras this time and all the original intros (and hopefully new ones!)

    Warner has announced the extras:

    * Irreverent audio commentary for all thirteen episodes from South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone.

    * Jay Leno's South Park guest appearance as formerly seen only on "The Tonight Show."

    * Music Video: Two classic Christmas music videos that haven't been unwrapped since their original airing in 1997:
    - Cartman: "O Holy Night"
    - Ned: "O Little Town of Bethlehem"

    * Priceless on-camera intros to all thirteen episodes from Parker and Stone, who are as popular with the fans as their animated characters.

    * The original on-air promos for the show's debut - relive the insanity that made South Park an instant hit.

Damn, no "Spirit Of Christmas". [IMG]
Nonetheless, a must buy. The Stone/Parker commentaries should be a hoot!

So what discs does this replace-- volumes 1-6 or just part of them?

I'd like to sell my original discs, but only the episodes that have been announced just in case.

With those specs, this just went from my "might buy if I have extra cash" list to my "gonna pre-order it" list. If only they would've included The Spirit of Christmas (hopefully it'll be an eaater egg).

Spirit of Xmas is actually owned by the guy who financed it, who that is I forget

I'd think he'd want a hefty chunk of change for it
