I hope Paramount has more guts than Warner when it comes to commentaries

There are *some* specs (disc count, episode count, running time, AR) here, if you're interested. DVDEmpire had this much info posted Saturday morning. Since it's Paramount distributing, we probably have about 6-8 weeks before we get FULL, detailed specs...unless another e-tailer lists more info (or someone from Paramount pops on here and gives us the info earlier [IMG] ).

Since Comedy Central produces these, whether WB or Paramount is the distrubutor, I imagine that the extras and box design will end up being about the same. A change is definately possible, though.

On the southparkstudios.com site they say that Season 3 will have "mini" commentaries that run 5-7 minutes. I fiannly started to listen to the Season 1 tracks and I have yet to hear ANYTHING that would cause Warner to yank them.. Hell these were even Matt and Trey's first SOBER commentary tracks.. No cursing, no nothing just talking about the show..

Ian, rumors at the time of S1's release said Warner axed the commentaries because of negative comments made about the movie Contact and its star, Jodie Foster. Contact was released by WB.

That explanation never made any sense to me. They just said the movie sucked. They didn't say anything slanderous. And that was only one commentary. Why couldn't the other 12 have been used?
