I'd like to make a 6V NiMH battery pack for my bike lights, but wondering which electronics store would sell NiMH batteries for a reasonable cost. Would I be able to do this for less than $99?

I'd like to replicate my 6v 8ampHr battery on my set of Marwi Kamikaze dualbeam bike lights but cheaper than the $99 for a stock replacement. I would reuse the waterbottle carrier and charger, just replace the internal NiMH cells myself.

I don't think there is any other electronics involved in the existing battery pack, it doesn't come with a charge indicator so I imagine, if I opened up the waterbottle case, I'll just see the cells lined up in series.

Do a Google search for "Batteries Plus." You should be able to find one in close proximity to you. If not, you should be able to order online.
