I have the chance to buy a pair of Soundstream mono-blocks rated at 120w/8ohm-200W/4ohm for $400 and I was wondering if this would be a good choice to power a shiva based sono-sub. I'd be looking to wire the VCs in parallel and put 1 block to it for 200W into 4ohms. Does anyone here know if the soundstreams are a good quality amp? I can get 2 sets and run my mains, the sub and maybe my center with the 4 for only $800. Any opinions.

I cant speak to thier home equipment they produce, but the much older car audio amps that carried thier name, well, pretty decent stuff.
Hopefully others can speak to it, as it dose sound as though they could be decent buys. As power for sub use is more forgiveing than for mains....
Might help to post model number, if new or used, and condition.
Im sorry I cant answer your question straight on. [IMG]
