Soundbars that improve the ability to hear dialogue over music or background sounds? (1 Viewer)

Hello. I currently have a basic Vizio SB3621 n-E8M soundbar hooked up to a Samsung TV but when my wife and I are watching shows or movies, the ability to hear dialogue over background music or other sounds is really tough. We want to stay with a soundbar and not put separate speakers in our very open space living room (with vaulted ceilings). Can anyone recommend how to improve on this issue via a good soundbar in the $300-$400 range? Thank you.

You shouldn't need a new one. There should be a setting somewhere that allows you to increase the dialog/center channel level. That should do it. Keep turning it up until you get what you need.

BTW, it's always possible your soundbar is damaged, but at least give that a try before looking into buying a new one.
