Sound to Yamaha RX-V463 / Video to TV (1 Viewer)

I'm out of video inputs on the back of my Yamaha RX-V463. (Cable box: hdmi, Xbox 360: hdmi, Wii: composite).

I want to hook up my VCR and don't want to route the cords to the front inputs.

Can I plug the sound into the CD input on the Yamaha, and plug the video directly to the TV? Will this work? Is there any problem with doing this?

Shouldn't be a problem. You just to remember vcr = cd and to change the input/channel on the tv.
