Sound Quality when wall mounting towers? (1 Viewer)

Due to space constraints in my Lounge I would like to wall mount my towers to free up space around the Floor area.

My question is will I loose/Gain wrt the sound quality placing them higher and close against the wall?

I have found some very sturdy brackets so I know the speakers will not fall down

I have thought of speaker stands but will not gain the space I require

Also I have seen quite an improvement when lifting the speakers appox 1 m abvove the ground btw these are the Wharfedale valdus 400 speakers
