Anyone know of any problems with the sound on region2 pearl harbour disc. I watched a friends copy last night and every 5-10 minute thoughout the film there was a momentary pause in the sound. Is this a know fault?

Many thanks

I rented this movie a few weeks ago and had absolutly no problems with the soundtrack, which was fantastic. Anyway, sorry I can't be of more help. I don't know if there is any difference between, I assume you watched a UK release, the UK release and the Scandinavian one.

Do you own an Onkyo or Denon receiver?

There are compatibility problems with Pearl Harbor (R1/2) and most of Onkyo's newer receivers and the Denon 1602 and 1802.

Yes, I have an Onkyo 595.

Do you happen to know exactly what the problem is and has it been experienced with any other films/discs?

Thanks for your help............Shaun

There are several ongoing discussions of the problem in the main software area. Run a search for Onkyo, Dropouts and Pearl Harbor and you should find all the information you could want.
Here are a few threads I found on the subject:

Other titles affected are Jurassic Park 3 and several of Anchor Bay's newer discs with re-mixed Dolby Digital Surround EX soundtracks.
