Most everyone here recommends the Avia DVD or Video Essentials one. VE seems to be out of print (from amazon)..my Avia DVD is on its way in the mail and I'm getting a SPL meter today as well.
S&V also has many of the DD trailers also... It has more or less everything you need, except the SPL meter. S&V has 6.1 tones for calibration that Avia and VE do not, which is why I bought it. I have been using VE up until now.
Yes VE is out of print and amazon is not carying it anymore. But there are a fiew still available from there marketplace sellers. I got the 3rd from last one (from Amazon) and almost lost it because I typed in my credit card information wrong. Phiew The Avia disk is still listed on Amazon as shipping in 24 hours.
The S&V HT Tune-up DVD is made in collaboration with Ovation Software - same people that made Avia. So, I would think they are pretty much similar. May be you can compare the actual content from these sites for yourself before you decide on either one of them. http://www.soundandvisionmag.com/hot...leID=44&page=1 Link Removed
