This movie looks much worse than anything they could come up with on 'Project Greenlight' [IMG]

Just proof that the studios think that african american people will pay to see anything.

Scary thing is, it probably won't do half bad...

I'm sure "CAR WASH" sounded stupid as hell when it was pitched, too.

    or "Friday."

Sure, it might LOOK like unadulterated crap, but I'll give it a shot.

    ...on video.

African Americans have the right to have stupid a**ed movies targeted at them just like everybody else.

    Dude Where's My Car.

Except that I don't often see anything else aimed at them lately. Dramas? Action movies? Not that many.

    How about:
    Barbershop
    The Fighting Temptations
    Undercover Brother
    Out of Time
    Radio
    Bad Boys
    SWAT
    Biker Boys
    2Fast 2Furious

All you need do is utilize African American stars in movies. Even if they are not actually targeted at us we will generally adopt them. I realize these are not in the blockbuster range and I do get your point. I wish the stories to be told in the African American community could more so be told through the medium of film. Without relying on stupid comedy or urban blight to do so.

I actually overheard a group of African Americans talking today about how they saw this trailer and are sick of these type movies aimed at them.

Poor Tom Arnold, he's going to be the token white guy.

Blacks aren't the only ones with stupid movies geared toward them. Leslie Neilsen has made a career out of bad movies geared toward White people. I think it's a shame that awful movies are greenlighted at all, regardless of who they're marketed toward.

I know you can't strike gold every time, but this movie seems so absurd as to be laughable. A purple velvet plane with hydraulics?! A hot tub, dance club and bathroom attendant on the plane?!

Is anyone else concerned about an airplane comedy film given the increased security and focus on airline safety? After all, View From the Top was not exactly a blockbuster with a gross of $15.6 Million.

Saw this trailer last night... painful. Gigli, you may have a run for your money. I shouldn't say that, Gigli was marketed as an actual film. This is obviously shooting for a one week run and then straight to video.

My computer isn't able to play trailers, etc, so I haven't seen it, but I have a question. is this the 'urban' remake of Airplane that they were talking about making a while ago. If so, I'm glad it's getting such negative response.
