I heard today that the HBO will not air Sopranos Season 4 until Fall 2002???
Could this be true???
If they make us wait another year, that really sucks!!!

However long it takes...
However much it costs...
Just so long as the quality of the show is maintained, I can wait...

The good news is this means we'll probably get the new season of Six Feet Under sooner! :)
This show is really tiding me over for quality TV.

The best thing about this is that by the time season four is airing, everyone who wants to be caught up can be for sure via the first three seasons being on DVD.
cheers!

I guess David Chase has never heard the expression "strike while the iron's hot." :)
I just hope for his (and the show's) sake that the audience doesn't forget about it, what with their gnat-like attention spans.
Interesting tidbit from the article Michael linked to. He wrote (emphasis mine):
I'm no rocket scientist, but the last time I checked, 5 times 13 is 65, not 75. So, unless each of the next two seasons are going to be 18 episodes...

Josh,
HBO is putting the Sopranos DVDs out every year, around Nov or Dec so the third season would be out a few months after the 4th season has started.
Mitty,
Funny that they said 75 in that article since one I read said 65. For some reason I thought you needed 100 episodes for syndication. Where'd I get that from?

I think the conventional wisdom is that you need 100 episodes to make a series viable for syndication "stripping" (i.e. airing five times a week, mon - fri). But, as the original Honeymooners (39 episodes) and the original Star Trek (69 episodes) has shown us, depending on the program, the number of episodes is not an issue.
