Nope. Any word on using question marks in the subject line, so we know it's not an announcement? [IMG]

Dave, sorry, if a mod could modify the title. Also, sorry about I swore I posted this in the TV section, unless I had the wrong window open at the time. [IMG]
    Edit:
Oops, now I see a mod moved it. Jeez and I thought if I put it in software it was gonna get moved to TV.

Is the season even over yet? The reason I ask because I don't follow the show on tv, I just wait for the DVD box sets. After finishing season 3 last night, I can't wait for season 4.

Also, I remember reading something about The Sopranos ending after 5 seasons (Just like OZ I guess?). Is this true?

Last I heard it looks more like next February for a Season 5 premiere. And although Season 5 is the last confirmed seasons, there stnads a pretty good chance right now that there will at least be a Season 6. From things I've read on various web-site, it seems most of the principles have contracts which include a Sixth Season. If it's still doing great, I think HBO would put a lot of pressure to have it continue.

I've heard that most of the principles AND DAVID CHASE are out after Season 5. Who knows?

Chase a Gandolfini said in a NPR interview that season 5 would be the last, but they would be up for a movie(s).

I wouldn't be surprised if HBO made them some kind of offer they couldn't refuse to get them to stick around for another seasons. This is the entertainment industry after all.

I'm sure it varies-- but the issue of creator controls was the main reason Mr. Show died on HBO. HBO brought out specific rules in contract renewal related to ownership that Dakota Films (producers of Mr. Show and the Tenacious D series) found unacceptible. Of course the Sopranos and OZ deals might pre-date this issue, but I was under the impression that issues like chracter ownership and whatnot were ebing applied to original content on HBO across the board.

as far as i know, they are supposed to start filming season 5 this month.

hbo just started replaying all 4 seasons this past sunday.
this will last till about november, usually they like to do this before they start a new season.. so december is possible.

and chase has said, if it was up to him, season 4 would of been his last, he was convinced by hbo to go one more season, so i'm pretty sure season 5 is the last one.
