I have a question about the Sony xxHS10 series TVs that I was hoping an owner could answer.
Where is the IR sensor?
The source of this question is this: If you put the TV into an entertainment center style media wall (spans length of room, floor to ceiling), and for aesthetic reasons wanted to cover up the base of the TV (you would not be using the TV speakers, so this cover would come to just below the controls) would this interfere with the IR reception?
Inquiring minds want to know!
Thanks,
Max

Max,
I'm not 100% on this, but I've heard it's in the "O" in the SONY emblem.

A slow day at work, and dilligent research agrees with the theory that the IR sensor is inside the "O" in the Sony logo. As long as this remains uncovered, everything should be good!
