Just wondering if those two little lines are noticable and annoying? This is the main thing making me hesitant on buying this set. What are your thoughts? Is it bad or no big deal? Do you notice them often? Thanks for your help.

I've had 2 Trinitron monitors (PC) and both have had the lines. You don't notice them after about a week or use. At least I don't. I can imagine this would be less on a television set. Especially since you sit right in front of the monitor.

The lines wouldn't bother me one bit.

Unless you sit really close to the TV, you don't notice them.

Are there direct-view CRT HS models?

I can assure you that my HS20 RPTV has no lines, but like any CRT-based RPTV, black-and-white tubes are used with no need for shadow mask or aperture grille.
