I just purchased this player, very happy so far, but had a quick question about hooking it up. There is the option to pass both video and audio through one HDMI output, or to separate them out with two. It seems that this latter option is for older receivers? I've got a brand new Arcam 390, so I'm not sure if there is any benefit to complicating my connections. Does anyone know if the audio quality is better using separate cables for audio/video? If so, how would I do this? I have 7 HDMI inputs on my receiver, but I can only select one at a time, right?

There are arguments that passing the video through the receiver degrades the video. I don’t know if this can be true or not, but I suppose it’s possible. Then the suggestion is to send the A/V signal straight to the TV and the audio only to the receiver.
