Sony takes orders for HT-A3000 immersive soundbar (1 Viewer)

Sony has announced the imminent arrival of the 3.1 channel HT-A3000 soundbar ($699.99) which can be paired with optional surround speakers and subwoofers. The soundbar itself can be pre-ordered, but the SA-RS5 ($599.99) wireless surround speakers – which include virtual height upfiring speakers – and SA-RS3S ($349.99) wireless surrounds, are both available now.
The soundbar itself has three front speakers including a dedicated center speaker for dialogue, and a built-in dual subwoofer. The A3000 uses Sony’s vertical surround engine and S-Force PRO front surround tech to create virtual immersive surround sound with both Dolby Atmos and DTS:X. The soundbar also uses Sony’s much-praised 360 spatial sound mapping when using the optional surround speakers.
