In a world gone mad with people that want TrueHD and DTS-HD on receivers, Sony uses it's genious marketing skills to doop the consumer into making an unnecesary purchase, respectively. This isn't much different than that PS3 commercial, except I understand what they are getting at with the receiver. Why doesn't Sony fire their marketing crew and steal Bose's marketing team.

Meh...Just a little intra-brand marketing. Patently obvious to us, yes, but one would hardly expect them to tout HD-DVD compatibility in their ads. If Toshiba ever adds HDMI to their HTIB system you can bet they will do the same thing.
