Sony SS-MF750H. Anyone tried em?

    If you haven't listened to any other speakers they will sound fine. But, If you have a Best Buy nearby, stop in and give them a listen. That's what I did and my wife was so unimpressed that she ok'd me to spend way more on JBL E90's.

    The difference was shocking.

    I too have the 5 series. the bass output isn't great, but with a sub, they sound pretty good. it all depends on how much you want to spend. I got the sub(dayton 10) for xmas, and spent around 150 for the following:
    -sony SSMF550H towers
    -sony SSMB150H bookshelves
    -sony SS-CN550H center
    I couldn't be happier. I've noticed a lot of sony bashing on various sites, but for the money, I couldn't have come close to doing any better.
