Thank You for accepting me to the forum.
I am a longtime Sony customer.
I, and from what I have read, many others, have a problem.
If this problem has been addressed before then please direct me to the proper forum and post.
I have a Sony SLV-D300 combo DVD and VCR player.
Problem: No one knows how to make this player function with any other remote other than the one that came with the unit. I talked with Sony "customer support" and was told that the codes would not be released for 2 or 3 months.
I find this totally unacceptable. Please someone tell me the codes for this unit so that I may make it work with my Sony universal remote. Any advice, in any way, shape, form or fashon to help solve my and many other's problem will be greatly appreciated. How can I get the Codes? Who might I contact at Sony. Is there any way of "reading" the code from the supplied remote. I buy Sony products so that I don't have these types of "problems". Well, maybe Sony is like many companies that have lost the lead in that they are losing touch with the everyday user. Help Please! John
