I'm glad I waited and didn't buy the boxset in February. Personally, I only liked the first two films and it looks like the original is going to be a special edition.

I haven't gotten around to getting the box set yet, and I guess I'll now wait and see what the KK:SE disc will be like. Surely, it won't be different from the one in the box. That one had commentary, featurettes, etc. What more could they do, other than anger those who just bought the box a few weeks ago?

I'll wait for details and decide on a price basis. I actually wouldn't mind having the third disc. If they are priced like the Rocky movies at $10 a go, I'll spend the extra $3 to not have part IV.

I forgot the boxset was released in February. But I also didn't see it in any stores.

The Karate Kid movies are great fun. I'm defineately adding it to my collection.

I'm with you on that. It's a trilogy to me no matter what the box says.

I have to believe that these discs are going to be the same exact discs that are in the boxset.

Glad I haven't gotten around to picking up the box set yet. At least I won't have to own "Next Karate Kid". [IMG] It's bad enough that I have Superman IV on my shelves. [IMG]

I liked all of 'em. And have the box set versions, which are fine for me.

I'm SO glad I didn't buy that KK box set, as I have zero interest in KKs 2, 3 and Next. I'll be picking up the KK:SE for sure.

This is certainly a dirty trick by Columbia (big surprise, huh) But I only paid $25 for the set so it is not too bad. But if the single release can be had for something like $10 then I'm going to be annoyed.

Good news. I'll definitely be picking up the first film.

My friend's going to be pissed. lol. He just bought the existing set a couple of weeks ago. Mind you, it was only $30 CDN so I guess it isn't too bad. I was tempted to get it myself, but I'm glad I held off. Will definitely purchase the upcoming set.

I found the boxset on Amazon new for $25 bucks. Not bad for 4 movies, even if I only watch the first 3. But why are they redoing it so SOON?
