Danny, that's pretty wild. It looks like something The Sharper Image would sell under their own name. I have an old Sony CD Discman that is similar in that the CD is exposed on two sides of the unit when it is loaded. You can actually touch the edge of the disc as it is spinning, thought that affects playback.

Keith, I think I know the Sony CD player you have; it's like a tiny square and the CD is halfway outside the player.
From what I read last year in an article in USA Today, Walkmans/Discmans (Walkmen/Discmen?) are going to be very valuable in the future. Do you remember the Sony Walkman (Sony WM-W800) that have 2 cassette wells and can do dubbing?
