Okay, I had a NS700 for a few days in my system and I found that the player still had Sony's notorious soft anamorphic downconversion, but I see where an article in The Perfect Vision says it doesn't have the typical soft downconversion, and in fact has the best downconversion the writer has seen. WHAT?! Was my player broken or is this guy blind? I used a Panasonic RV31 (which had a shaper picture, albeit with more artifacts) to compare the anamorphic downconversion in my home system.

So, no one can provide any input on this? [IMG]
