I have a Sony KP53V75 53" RP TV. Can anyone tell me what it is capable of in terms of resolution? I have been searching for the answer on the internet and have so far been unsuccessful. The reason I would like to know is that I'm considering the Samsung SIR-TS360 HDTV/DirecTV receiver. I would like to know if the tv can produce enough resolution to make it worthwhile or if I should just wait and get a digital tv. Jeff

It appears to be a standard def NTSC set, so it is limited to NTSC standards. Hi-def won't come through. If you get HD into your house, though, you'll be ready for an upgrade later.

I figured that I wouldn't get 1080 but will it produce 720 lines? It does have component in's so I'm assuming that it will produce at least 480 which is the same as standard DVD, right?
