Here's a picture:
Sony black screen
the black screen is on the right, conventional screen is on the left. Notice the lamps beside both screens. Very impressive looking!
Something else cool from that show. The NEC lensless DLP projector. Can project a 100" image at a distance of 26" away from the screen.
NEC Lensless DLP Projector
Wow that lenseless projector is really cool! Dammit, and I'm about to order a benq 8700+! :p)
I wonder how easy it would be to remove the lens from a DLP projector, and add the mirror for the same effect?
I wonder if this screen improves perceived contrast ratios of projectors?
If they can get the price down to $500 like the analyst says, that would be fantastic. A decent projector and screen for around 2 grand wouldn't be a bad deal. I wonder when they'll start selling it.
I'd guess that the screen is VERY pricey, and with a very limited viewing angle.
heh, anybody notice the cameraman's reflection in the side by side demo pic?
