I have a Sony reviever. My set up is as follows. Satelite to VCR via A/V cables. VCR to Reciever via A/V cables. and reciever to TV via A/V cables. I am not getting a picture but am getting sound. I have the Monitor Jack plugged in as well. There is one on my TV as well. I have hooked it up but still no pic. Please help.

I would test each video source directly to the television using the same AV cable. If everything is ok then hook up a video source and test each cable. If everything works then you may have a problem with the receiver.

If you are only sending one signal to the receiver, then to the TV, yor are doing nothing but adding an additional connection.

First, follow Eduardo's advice to find out if all your sources are sending video signal first.
