Hello ......I'm new to this so would appreciate any help I can get....I have been reading reviews for the last couple months now and have found a Sony HS20 locally for around 2500.00....Is this a good price and a machine worthy of having for such? Also is extended warranty worth getting with these things?

Doug, did you read the review at Projectorcentral.com?
I think it is way overpriced. You can buy the Panasonic 500 for $1,499 right now.
