Sony Dish - Round design Vs. Oval Design (1 Viewer)

Can anyone explain the reason for the oval dish design vs.

the old round dss dish I have. A friend says the new oval

dish gets a better signal pattern???? will the oval dish work with old equipment??? Like a sony a2 receiver?

The oval dish is needed so that it can be aimed at two or more satellites at the same time. The circular and oval will work with old or new equipment (assuming you have either aimed correctly).

In some parts of the country, you need an oval dish for picking up local channels. You also need the oval dish for HD programming, and for Para Todos.
