Hi,
I was wondering if it is possible to connect my old Sony surround system DAV-HDX589W to new Klipsch R-12SW. Klipsch only has the RCA jacks. I understand there’s a speaker wire to RCA cord but would that work in my case, being that it’s an all in one system? There is a dedicated subwoofer output on my Sony system where I connect to subwoofer via 2 wires.

You’d have to use a speaker-level to line-level converter on the Sony. It would give you the RCA jacks needed for the Klipsch.

Thanks for the feedback. I think I found one on Amazon. I have 2 questions: 1) I noticed this one requires a 9-volt battery, but also noticed some didn't. Is having one with a battery better than the other? 2) There are several wires on the device, which one would I connect the 2 subwoofer wires to?
