    I keep waiting for:

A dedicated SACD/CD ES machine (no DVD, no video) for about a grand street.

I guess I get to keep waiting...

The closest they have was the SACD-1, the $5000 single disk player. I don't think Sony has made any music-only disk players in years.

I feel comfortable now that Sony is introducing upscaling players via HDMI. I was tender with my Zenith 318 and still will be, but upscaling player from Sony at 150, is comforting.

Garrett, a buddy once told me that they actually did make the machine that I want. But ... only available in Europe.

I even have it all mapped out in my brain: Sony ES CD/SACD machine, and then I'd get an Arcam for DVD-V and DVD-A. sigh...

Ken- Thanks for that link. I will have to keep an eye for the 3100ES and the 9100ES at least!
