I have a 1 1/2 year old 4:3, 61" Sony TV. By ordering the service manual, is there anything I could do to improve my TV's picture? If so, what would it be? I would be doing this myself. I don't have the money to spend on ISF calibration right now.
I have used Avia to properly adjust basic settings.
    Thanks

I've done that - they weren't very dusty at all - even after a year (being a non smoker helps too).

It may help if you mention exactly what model of 61" you have. Some users who may be familiar with it will then chime in.
I would assume that doing both a manual and electronic focus would help to improve your picture. As well, have you checked your convergence?
Give us a bit more info, and we'll see what help can be offered.

I own a KP-61V80. Overall, the picture looks good. I'm looking to optimize it within my means. I haven't done anything with the convergence. How do I get to that?
    Thanks

When it comes to Home Theater in general, movies, and movie software....the Home Theater Forum is THE place to be. When it comes to HDTV, and information on HDTV manufacturers, sorry HTF, but the Home Theater Spot is like one of the ultimate places to gain knowledge of such things. Try them here: http://www.hometheaterspot.com/cgi-b...ultimatebb.cgi
    Check it out...
