Sony 555es SACD (1 Viewer)

Anybody out there have this player? What I am interested in is how this player sounds with standard cd's. I'm looking to upgrade my cd player for $600-$800 but would be willing to spend more if this palyer is good with reg. cd's.

Paul, I have the SCD-C555ES and am very happy with it as a CD changer. In fact, one of the main reasons I bought it was to get a quality CD changer. I am also enjoying the 'C555ES as a stereo SACD changer and for multi-channel SACD. The 'C555ES won't beat top-flight single-disc CD players, obviously, but it is still a very good CD player. I bought it from OneCall (authorized dealer) a few weeks ago for $824 delivered.
