Sony 50A10 and the Iris- Calibration Questions (1 Viewer)

What is the generally agreed upon setting for the Iris when doing a VE calibration?

I am going to my father's to calibrate his 50A10, and the Iris settings obviously change things somewhat drastically.

I'd like to do a 'set it and forget' calibration- he is not the type to be going into the menu for day/night settings, or just to experiment.

As an aside, anyone's basic brightness, contrast, and color
settings after calibration are appreciated as well.

Set the Advanced Iris to low for most everything. Set the Iris setting to 2 for controlled lighting situations.

actually that advice is perfect timing, because I'm probably buying one of them in the next few weeks!
