Sony 50" LCD TVs - kf-50xbr800 vs kdf-50we610 vs kdf-50we655 (1 Viewer)

I see that the WE655 (latest model) goes for 2400 shipped and the WE610 (one model old) goes for 2650 shipped (lowest online via pricegrabber). I also see that the XBR800, albeit 2 models old now, is still going for +1k more shipped online. I noticed that the XBR800 is 20lbs heavier than the WE655.

1. Being that the WE610/WE655 are not XBR TVs, is anything sacrificed in terms of picture or build quality?

2. If I get the XBR800, is having only DVI-HDCP going to hinder me since it doesn't have DVI-HDMI?

3. Is not having the black border on the WE655 a hinderance when viewing (eyes can't focus as well?) being that it's all silver?

Have you seen the Sony 55XS955 or 60XS955? I ordered this set. I was really impressed with the picture quality, even compared to the JVC DILA sets.

I've read that the WE610/WE655 replace the old XBR800 at 50", and are "better" than the XBR800, despite not being labeled XBR. The 60" and 70" XBR sets are the new top of the line.
