Anyone seen either of these 2 new sets?

    Sony 46 WT520

    Toshiba 46 H84

Mainly interested in 480p DVD, standard cable and some HD cable. I kind of like the Toshiba better but I guess it converts 480i/p DVDs to 540p or 1080i.. whereas the Sony has a 'native' 480 mode that's better for DVDs? Is that still the case on these new models?

jeff - I have the 46h84 - and its pq is IMHO outstanding - except for the dreaded white line (aka Center Drive Line). Once you see it - you will spot it allways. Not all units have it. It seems to be hit or miss. There is a fix for the 83 series - it has not been verified to work on the 84 series - it should however as the 83 and 84 series are nearly identical. Best Buy is bringing me a new one - if it has the cdl too - I am done with toshiba and getting the hitachi 51f510. Hope that helps - becasue its a great unit for the price - plus is takes 1080i and 720p signals (Displays them at 1080i) which is a plus if you have an xbox or some other device that cant to 1080i.

Thanks, yeah I don't have the Xbox. Between the choice of either 720 or native 480p, I would choose 480, I do have an excellent P-scan dvd player and watch a lot of dvd..

Anyone else compared these? Or even seen the new Sony yet?
