sonotube alternative

    I think sonotube is more sturdy than these "barrels" plus the metal rings on each end may provide a slight challenge for mounting the endcaps. Other than that, it is a similar kind of cardboard material, just thinner.

    Plus:
    aesthetics
    just as heavy as a box

    Minus:
    aesthetics
    just as heavy as a box
    loose Vb for effective equivalent floor space
    PITA to build RELATIVE to a box or sonotube

    anthony i like the trash can sub...how does that sub sound..i just ordered a stryke audio av15
     
  10. THat was just a demo sub when BPD just came out. It was just set up for SPL with no inductance EQing at all.
    I did have a dual sealed 1503 sub that when properly EQ'd sounded rather nice for HT. I just was demanding too high of an XO on if and now have a different sub.
