In the process of building my sonosub...

Before I start cutting though.. I had a quick question..

Would there been any benefits in having the port on the top instead of the bottom?? I see that the SVS subs are ported on the top, and their driver on the bottom is mounted more towards the middle, instead of towards the side of the tube.

Just wondering if one is better than the other. I can do it either way. I would imagine though, that it's easier to put it all on the bottom...just a thought... thanx..

In my case I didn't have room on the bottom so it went on the top. I imagine it is the same for SVS.

Everything I've read says it doesn't matter. I don't know if putting it on the bottom would be easier, but then you don't have to worry about covering it to make sure nothing falls down it. As far as I can tell, that is the only advantage to putting it on the bottom.
