I was recently lucky to acquire the Zepp catalog on cd. I had the boxed sets, but hadn't heard all the original cd remasters. Reluctantly, I put on a disc of The Song Remains The Same, and I was surprised at what I heard. Mind you, the last time I heard this material was on vinyl which seemed to have no high end, and was pressed on lousy
70's recycled vinyl. The CD sounded pretty good(I just finished listening to the disc with Whole Lotta Love and Stairway on it). Maybe it isn't great, but I was pleased with what I heard. Anyone else heard something on a cd that
was better quality than what they expected?

I have the new CD, How the West was Won, and maybe it's just familarity, but I do prefer most of the versions on The Song Remains the Same. (But the 1st disc of West is to die for...) Too much mucking about on Whole Lotta Love for example. [IMG]

Make sure to get the DVD of TSRTS too. Killer...
