In case you all tried to forget, after several bumps in release, it looks like the "sequel" (with none of the original cast, with the exception of Ben Stein) now will be released on Feb 18, 2005. I saw a trailer on Access Hollywood today, and the closest thing to a similar character was another dog who looked a lot like Milo, but is named Otis (how's that for original thinking?).
I read some online interview where the budget was in excess of $100M. If this gets dumped in Feb after being pushed back from the summer/fall of 2004, does anybody expect New Line to make their money back? As far as I'm concerned, the windfall on the LOTR trilogy will cushion the blow of many disasters for years to come.
