    This WAS my PC+.

The Entrance Cam took this shot of the intruder scoping out the place and hypnotizing the ferocious attack dogs. [IMG]

The Surround Left Cam took this shot of the culprit picking up the PC+!

The Neighbor's Treelawn Cam snapped this shot of the PC+ in the culprit's car. [IMG] [IMG]

The Front Porch Cam snapped a shot of the final getaway. [IMG]

This is my reaction when I came home.

And this is what I saw. [IMG]

But, feeling bad, the ferocious attack dogs gathered up their bone collections and bought me a surprise! [IMG]

My new PB2+!!!! (Thanks again, Craig!) [IMG] [IMG]

    George....

That was brilliant, very funny and well thought out.

The only problem I have is the sub was put in the wrong side of the car, how does the robber drive the car?

Oh I get it now, you guys drive on the wrong side of the road. [IMG]

Enjoy your new toy, I still recon those signs look great [IMG]

Seems like your pup wanted the cylinder removed, due to his lack of enthusiasm when the culprit was picking it up:wink:

    George,
How does the new PB2 do compared to the PC+ with those Martin Logans?

Hey all, thanks for the compliments.

Now that I've had a chance to play, I really love this sub. This sub is a definite improvement for me. Although, the PC+ was great too, the PB2+ has improved my sound. The first thing it did, since it isn't as high as the 39" PC+, was let my Logan breathe a little bit better and the sound is a little more open out of that channel. I wish I would have thought of that earlier![IMG] It also blends with my Logans better by sounding a little tighter than the PC+ did. I really am not the greatest music critic as I haven't been too critical of music until I bought my Ref 50 a few months ago. But, I will say that the tighter bass is noticeable with the CDs I've been listening to. Tori Amos, Korn, Enya. I thought that the PC+ did fine with music, but this sub is sounding like a better fit. I don't know why it would sound different besides an increase in volume since the PB2+ uses the same driver as the PC+. Can anyone help me understand this a little better?

Now with movie watching, this sub is great. My house is on a slab and, with the PC+, I didn't get the tactile sensation I wanted even though I could hear the bass just fine. With the PB2+, I can feel the bass a lot better. One of my favorite scenes I use to demo is the opening of Resident Evil. When played at reference, the elevator crashing made my pant legs move. I liked that. And at more reasonable volumes, (-10,-15) the bass still gave a nice tactile sensation throughout the couch.

Of course, the tactile sensation isn't the most important aspect, it's the sound and there's plenty of it. There may be too much, in fact. With the PC+, I measured the "It's cold!" scene from "The Haunting" at 104Dbs where I sit. This is a RS digital meter and I didn't use any correction at all. Using the same method, I measured 112 Dbs with the PB2+. The reason I said there may be too much? I stood outside my house and held my meter about an inch away from my neighbor's house and I read 85 Dbs on that scene. True, it was reference level and I don't watch movies that fricken' loud, but I might have to be concerned about this.

So far, I have it tuned at 20 Hz with one port plugged. I tried the 16 HZ setting, but didn't like it as much as the 20 Hz setting.

Overall, I am extremely pleased that I took Craig up on his generous offer. This is an awesome sub, and made a nice improvement over the already great sound I had with the PC+. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go watch something![IMG]
