Scheduled for an April 2002 release (yeah, right):
    Baby Geniuses 2: Superbabies
starring Jon Voight, Scott Baio and Vanessa Angel with cameos by Lance Bass, Joey Fatone and Justin Timberlake...

I still dont know if I should believe that as...
    1) Who the fuck would want a sequel to Baby Geniuses?
    2) The information is from the IMDB...
    3) Look at the cast...
    4) Look at the character names...
But if it is true, we need to find the person who greenlit this horrid piece of crap and backhand the bastard. [IMG]

It's all true, Matt. Jon Voight was exec. producer on the original, so there's that.
PLUS, I did a little research and discovered two disturbing figures:
    Baby Geniuses budget: $13 million
Baby Geniuses Box Office domestic gross: $27.1 million
I had heard nasty rumors a while back that this sequel was on the way, but I dismissed it as a cruel joke.
And the news didn't come from IMDB. It came from IMDB PRO! [IMG]

Baby Geniuses 2. It's too early in the morning for a witty reply, so... [IMG]

Scott, you just ruined my day. The first one was creepy-weird-bad enough for several movies.

The first one was the most horrid piece of shit I have ever seen!!! I wanted to grab that little bastard and throw him across the room like Mini Me!!
It makes 'Battlefield Earth' look like 'Citizen Kane'!
Man, a sequel to 'Baby Geniuses', God help us all.

John Voight is a pretty great actor but what the hell is this all about? Is he doing this just to pay the bills or is he trying to make his career tank.

Oooh, Scott wants to be killed! [IMG]
I read about this a few months ago in The Province while they were shooting in Vancouver. Having not seen the first Baby Geniuses, I'm still amazed that they would go through with it. It's true that Hollywood is THAT out of ideas. Yeesh...

I'm not an admin, but doesn't this thread belong in the Assisted Suicide page?
You should take a look, there's a thread running right now by a disgruntled viewer of the first Baby Geniuses looking to strangle someone with some old Monster Cable.
    Good luck! [IMG]

    Ironic moment of the day...
Even a baby genius would know that greenlighting "Baby Geniuses 2" is a bad idea, even if the first one managed to trick enough people into turning a profit.

If you put $100 on #14 in roulette and it hits, don't put it right back down on it. Take your money and run.

Come to think of it, there never was a sequel to that Leave It To Beaver movie from a few years back. Wonder when that might happen?

The tape sold very well of BG

But the DVD was P&S only! Shouldn't we be complaining about that?

And no, Battlefield Earth was much, much worse
