Some clairty on Flaired ports (1 Viewer)

okay i got my sub built and working, just not tuned, and with the flared ports i am a little fuzzy.

I have heard that by rule of thumb you add an additional inch if its flared.

But, my question is, does that inch include the flared section, total lenght? or just the 4 tube?

Also, if you have both ends flared then does that mean the you need to add two inches?

any help would be great. i just want to get the most out of my sub, thanks in advance.

Allen, the overall length of the port should be one inch longer than if you were not using flared ends at all.
