Software or Hardware Test Tones? (1 Viewer)

Should I calibrate my system with the test tones found on Video Essentials DVD or from the test tones on the Denon 3802? Will it effect DTS if I use VE?

Does anyone have an opinion? I have been using the pink noise from the Denon But I read some people are using the ones from VE.

I would say, try both, and see what you think sounds better.
I don't know why this is the case, but if I use VE or Avia, my sub ends up way too loud. So I use the tone generator in my pre/pro.
(I have all my speakers set to small with an 80 Hz crossover to my sub.)

What about the 6th and 7th chanel?
VE doesn't send signals for those speakers.
Is there a DVD that does?
