Where do you buy your DVDs from? I buy from BestBuy. Occasionally I'll buy a back catalog title from Wal Mart but I buy most of my new releass from Best Buy.

I really don't want to say the name of where I buy my dvd's USUALLY, because I can get them their 4 or more days early before they officially street.
But another place I always go to buy is Best Buy, sometimes i'll grab 6 or 7 at a time!
I'll never understand the seduction of buying online, it's a pain in the ass IMHO, a B&M store on the other hand is much better, you go in, grab as many as you, and your wallet, can stand, go home, open those babies up, and your rockin!

www.absound.ca for almost everything except R1 stuff I can't find at absound, for which I go to www.amazon.com .
I would agree about online ordering but the savings are too hard to ignore for a Norwegian who prefers R1. For the R2 stuff I can't find in R1, I try to pick up in stores as well, but if that is too hard to find I'll use online web sites as well.

I used to get DVDs online way back when you used to get the $25 off coupons and such but now I go to Best Buy(same prices as net)and Circuit City(who will often beat BB price by $1 to compete).

Best Buy for titles I can't wait to have; CD Warehouse (a used CD store that also sells used DVDs) and online at deepdiscountdvd.com for obscure titles.

As for the bad rap about the characters--hey, I've seen space operas that put their emphasis on human personalities and relationships. They're called "Star Trek" movies. Give me transparent underwater cities and vast hollow senatorial spheres any day. --Roger Ebert on The Phantom Menace

I prefer R1 DVD's and I get them from Amazon, in my experience they have good service and have been reliable, with DVD's arriving earlier than expected in most cases.

Most are preordered from Ken Cranes or DVDPlanet. Occasionally, I'll order from Amazon if the price is right, or pick one up at Borders if it's an impulse purchase.

    Best Buy in Lexington, KY
    - This store must be an exception, because I've found several Criterion titles I thought I'd never see. This is where I get my Kurosawa titles. Oh, I get the vast majority of my other DVDs from here as well.
    The Replay Conglomerate
    - Suncoast, Sam Goody, Media Play are places I go to for the more obscure titles.

    - I go to buy.com usually. I'm thinking about DVDplanet and express though. Any thoughts on this?
