So what does everyone think of Sunset Division (Crossing Jordan spinoff)? (1 Viewer)

I think it looks even better than Crossing Jordan. I don't really see why Jerry O'Connell's brother should be in the show but what the heck... I just hope that it doesn't fall into the same predicament that caused me to turn-off Crossing Jordan: excellent characters, lousy plot.

I'd rather O'Connell stayed on Crossing Jordan. While I don't doubt Sunset Division could be a good show, I like the chemsitry between Woody and Jordan too much, and wasn't terribly impressed with this pilot.

Is Sunset Division already airing? I missed it completely, as my place has been either NHL or PSO TV for the last week or so...

No, they aired the pilot last night as an episode of Crossing Jordan. Hopefully it doesn't count against CJ's 22-episode order and winds up being a bonus episode.

They did something similar last night on JAG -- some new show involving the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) starring Mark Harmon. A cross between JAG and CSI.(sigh)

I suspect Sunset Division will have a very short run. It maybe only me but O'Connell will always be Quinn Mallory to me. ;)

I don't think it'll even get picked up. It looks like the bastard child of Fastlane and Dragnet, and I'm not sure where NBC would put another crime show. Besides, I think O'Connell works better as a supporting character on Crossing Jordan than he ever has as a lead.

I've always liked Leon as an actor, and I've wondered if he'd ever break through in a more visible role. This show isn't it. :frowning: If NBC wants a good LA-based cop show they should buy Robbery Homicide Division away from CBS.

Anyone know what ever happened to this show? IMDB still has it as "in production."

Didn't get picked up. O'Connell will still be on Crossing Jordan when it returns in March, and I think he's signed on for another pilot this spring.

(Oops, my bad, that's Ivan Sergei. Maybe O'Connell will finally get bumped to regular)
